Liam Buckley, IES Ltd

Liam Buckley is a Project Manager for the North American division of IES Ltd. His consulting expertise includes whole-building energy analysis & optimization, daylight analysis and optimization, detailed HVAC simulation, renewable energy systems, computational fluid dynamics, natural ventilation analysis and occupancy thermal comfort analysis.

Liam is an ASHRAE Member and anASHRAE Certified Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP); he is a recognized Chartered Engineer in Ireland and the UK. Liam regularly presents on behalf of the US-Chapter of the ‘International Building Performance & Simulation Association’ (IBPSA-USA). Liam holds a Masters degree in Sustainable Energy from Brunel University in the UK.


Savings By Design is a statewide program offered by California utilities to encourage high-performance design and construction in new nonresidential buildings. Liam Buckley from Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) will provide a hands-on software training course on the building performance modeling requirements for Savings By Design Incentives using IESVE-2017 software.  The course will include analysis of the Proposed and Title 24 Standard model requirements and generation of the Savings By Design reports.  

ATTENDEES WILL NEED TO BRING THEIR OWN LAPTOPS WITH IESVE INSTALLED. If you do not have the software installed on a laptop, you can download it from You must then install and launch the software and request the license key for a 30-day trial from Integrated Environmental Solutions at least 3 days in advance of the training date.
