Future Conferences Organized or Hosted/Co-Hosted by IBPSA-USA
The 2018 Building Performance Analysis Conference and SimBuild, co-organized by ASHRAE and IBPSA-USA, will be held September 26-28, 2018 at the Hilton Chicago, Chicago, IL. It is the third, co-organized conference between ASHRAE and IBPSA-USA.
The goal of this conference is to present the new techniques and workflows that will help researchers and practitioners make better decisions during the simulation and modeling process of an entire building life cycle.
Past Conferences Organized or Hosted by IBPSA-USA
IBPSA-USA is pleased to be hosting Building Simulation 2017, the 15th international conference of IBPSA. The venue is the Hyatt Regency Hotel, located in downtown San Francisco near the waterfront. Dates are August 7-9, 2017.
The ASHRAE and IBPSA-USA SimBuild 2016: Building Performance Modeling Conference builds upon the success of the previous ASHRAE and IBPSA-USA joint conference held in Atlanta in September 2014. This conference combines the ASHRAE Energy Modeling Conference and IBPSA-USA SimBuild.
The expected attendance for this conference is 300. Modelers, software developers, owners, and researchers will address current and new practices in energy modeling and building performance simulation using existing simulation tools, state-of-the-art software, and innovative simulation research. This conference seeks to promote industry collaboration and address the most pressing market needs.
The conference organizers are pleased to offer several sponsorship opportunities to engage industry participation. The sponsorship offsets conferences expenses and provides access to talented new graduates coming into the job market, seasoned practitioners, and principals responsible for managing modeling services. For more information about sponsoring the ASHRAE and IBPSA-USA SimBuild 2016: Building Performance Modeling Conference please contact Lizzy Seymour at email@example.com.
Recent Modeling Conferences by Others
ASHRAE Energy Modeling Conference 2015
The conference builds on past ASHRAE Energy Modeling Conferences by addressing the industry need for “how to” do certain aspects of energy and building simulation.
The conference theme is “Making the Difference with Modeling: From Concept to Facility Management” and broadly covers modeling from start to finish through high quality case study presentations.
The purpose of the conference is to facilitate communication and coordination within the energy modeling and building simulation industry and software developers to advance the industry’s ability to better model high performance buildings and to advance the practitioner’s understanding of the application of existing and new tools, new technology and processes for energy modeling, whole building simulation and building HVAC system design.
Participants in the conference will be day-to-day energy modeling and building simulation practicing professionals, principals of consulting firms, consulting engineers, other practicing professionals and software developers.
IBPSA BUILDING SIMULATION 2015 - Hyderabad, India
Building Simulation Conference 2015 (BS2015) was conducted in Hyderabad in December, 2015.
This conference is the 14th International Conference of the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA). The objective of BS 2015 is to advance the practice in diverse disciplines of building energy analysis and performance simulation.
BS-2015 is for those working in or learning about the field of building performance simulation including building designers, architects, sustainability managers, researchers and developers.
