Occupant-Centered Workplace Hybrid Ventilation In the US: Now and The Future, featuring Xinyi Song, Assistant Professor at Georgia Institute of Technology. "Our research systematically evaluates the effects of climate, air quality, building and occupant parameters on hybrid ventilation operation through simulation. An advanced, data-driven model predictive control (MPC) algorithm using a light-weight three-phase neural network is developed. This algorithm is then be used to develop levels of intelligent control for optimal hybrid ventilation operation to provide occupants with real-time, adaptive personal ventilation control options. The goal is to create a symbiotic relationship between occupants and building that both saves energy and improves occupant health, well-beings, and satisfaction."
