Simulation Showcase:

A Spotlight on Tomorrow’s Building Performance Leaders

To provide a platform for students and early-career professionals to showcase their work and strengthen their presentation, speaking, and client-facing skills, the Emerging Professional and Students of IBPSA-USA Committee (EPSI) is launching the Simulation Showcase.

We invite current students and young professionals to submit their work. Submissions should focus on simulation or analysis-based projects relevant to the building performance industry.

Selected contributors will be invited to present their work in a live webinar series, delivering a 10-minute Spotlight presentation followed by Q&A with the audience. Spotlight presenters will be recognized at SimBuild 2026 and considered for awards.

Who Can Apply?
 

The showcase is open to:

  • Students currently enrolled in academic programs.
  • Recent graduates with up to 5 years of professional experience.
What Are We Looking For?
 

We invite submissions that demonstrate:

  • Innovation: Creative use of simulation to address real-world challenges.
  • Impact: How simulation influenced design decisions or improved outcomes.
  • Clarity: Effective communication of insights and lessons learned.
How to Apply?
 

Submissions should include:

  1. A brief abstract describing the problem, methodology, and results.
  2. A graphic or visual demonstrating key findings or analysis.
  3. About you: A headshot, bio, and project context
  4. (If selected) A 10-minute presentation to share your work with the community.
