2022 Building Performance Analysis Conference and SimBuild
ASHRAE and IBPSA-USA will host the bi-annual Building Performance Analysis Conference & SimBuild for 2022 in Chicago, September 14-16, 2022. This joint conference is held every other year and combines seminars and peer-reviewed paper presentations. The conference is an excellent forum for practitioners and researchers to share information, learn from each other and advance the state of the art in building performance simulation.
For the first time, IBPSA-USA is hosting HackSimBuild, a hackathon held in conjunction with BPACS 2022. This event invites participants (you) to develop and test creative new approaches to building performance simulation during a 24-hour collaborative design sprint. At the end of this fun and immersive event, we will award prizes to the teams with the most original, innovative, and market-ready tools, metrics, ideas, or other hacks they present to our industry-leading panel of jurors.
Conference news
- February 18, 2022. Call for presentations opens. Building performance professionals and practitioners are invited to submit proposals for individual presentations between 15-25 minutes in length or 60-90 minute panel or seminar sessions. Proposals can cover a broad range of topics addressing the needs of the building performance analysis community. Creative and interactive presentation formats are strongly encouraged.
