Career Pathway Mapping is an interactive panel discussion to discuss varying career perspectives and pathways in the building simulation industry. Attendees will gain career insights from industry professionals, and have the opportunities to ask them questions during this live session.

Kyleen Rockwell
Kyleen is a Senior Building Performance Analyst at Interface Engineering. She is responsible for providing computational analysis for a wide range of project types and scales. As a professional engineer and licensed architect Kyleen leverages her expertise to support proof of concept, energy optimization, microgrid design, master planning, carbon analysis, daylight, computational fluid dynamics and shading design simulations. She has had the privilege of working at medium-large scale, international/national architecture and engineering firms and volunteering for a wide spectrum of professional organizations and roles within IBPSA-USA, USGBC, AIA Colorado, AIA National, and ASHRAE.

Matthew Duffy
Matthew is Vice President of IESVE North America East at Integrated Environmental Solutions Ltd. During his career in building performance, energy analysis, and software development, he has had the opportunity to contribute to building design, simulation software, and building operation. Matthew has been consulting and teaching energy simulation and 3D load calculations for over 15 years to practitioners, students, and national laboratories. Matthew founded the local IBPSA-USA Wisconsin Chapter in 2018. He is currently serving his 3rd term on the board of directors of IBPSA-USA and 2nd term on the board of directors at the Aldo Leopold Chapter of Trout Unlimited.

Sumayyah Theron
Sumayyah is a seasoned sustainability and building sciences professional with over 20 years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams, driving strategic growth, and delivering innovative solutions. She has expertise in sustainable design, decarbonization strategies, and green building certifications, including Green Globes, fitwel, LEED, and WELL. Sumayyah is a proven leader in fostering client relationships, influencing policy, and managing high-impact projects across diverse industries. She is also an ASHRAE Certified Decarbonization Professional (CDP).
