IBPSA-USA Career Fair connects candidates with potential employers for careers in simulation and analysis in the built environment, with an emphasis on energy, carbon, water, and indoor environmental quality. Candidates seeking either full-time employment or internships are welcome to attend.

General FAQs

  1. How will my information be used? Information received during registration will be used solely for communication related to the career fair and will not be used for other purposes without express consent.

For candidates

  1. How do I register for this event? Use the “Registration” section on this website. This will redirect you to an eventbrite page where you can purchase tickets. Event login details will be emailed to the email address provided during registration within two days after registration.
  2. What is the fee to attend? The event is free for attendees before 02/02/2024, and $5 after 02/02/2024. 
  3. Where can I find information about joining EPSI? You can fill this short application form to join EPSI or reach out to us at epsi@ibpsa.us
  4. How do I log in? Login information will be sent automatically upon registration.
  5. How do I schedule a one-on-one meeting with an employer? Refer to the Event Chat on RingCentral to view employer availability. 
  6. Will I be able to join the career fair multiple times when it is live, if I have to exit temporarily? Yes, you can use the login information provided to rejoin the event multiple times.
  7. Will my information be accessible by my current employer if they are participating in the event?  While setting up your account, you will be asked to provide your name and other details. All details other than your name will be optional. Any details entered will be visible to all employers if you choose to enter them. 
  8. What chats are private/public? Any messages sent in the Event, Session, or Booth chat are public and can be viewed by any other user. Messages sent to a specific individual will be private. To send a private message, click on the user’s profile in the chat space and select Send a Message.
  9. When uploading a resume, please note that this does not count as an official application for any or all open positions.
    1. Resumes will be shared only with the employers with whom you choose to share them. It is at the employer’s discretion who among their internal team can review these applications.
    2. Upon submission, your resumes will be kept on file by IBPSA-USA for 30 days. It is at the discretion of each employer to determine how long your resume will be kept in their records.
  10. What if I experience a technical issue during the Career Fair? A representative will be available in our Help Desk Booth during the Career Fair to assist with any technical issues you experience.

Employer FAQs

  1. What is the fee to register as an employer? Basic registration includes a booth set up for the career fair. Employers who register by January 19, 2024 will have a rate of $350. Registration fees after this date will be $500. Additional features such as sponsorship banners and presentations in the plenary session are available for an added fee.
  2. How can I log in? Login information will be sent automatically upon registration. A link to your virtual Booth will be sent within two business days.
  3. What event analytics will I receive before and after the event? Detailed reports regarding event participation can be sent upon request. 
  4. Can I use my own hiring portal to receive applications during the event? Yes. 
  5. What if I experience a technical issue during the Career Fair? A representative will be available in our Help Desk Booth during the Career Fair to assist with any technical issues you experience.
