IBPSA-USA Wisconsin Chapter: SimBuild 2024 Discussion and Concerts in the Square

The IBPSA-USA Wisconsin Chapter met in July and was graciously hosted in the Thermal Energy System Specialists’ office and sponsored by IES, ltd. The event had a delicious array of charcuterie delights and refreshing libations.

The gathering was a vibrant discussion that covered key topics from the SimBuild 2024 summary including; transitioning from the BPAC/IBPSA-USA joint conference, the importance of balancing academia, research, and practice, and of course 90.1 Appendix G vs. ECB.

The Wisconsin Chapter’s very own Matthew Duffy, who participated in a panel presentation, highlighted some things from the “Indigenous Wisdom & Building Science” discussion.

After a lively discussion, the group walked across the street to the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra’s yearly summer series “Concerts in the Square

The theme of the night’s installment was “In Nature’s Realm” which resonated with the group’s earlier discussion.

It was overall a great event filled with discussion, camaraderie, and beautiful music!
