Research in Modelica-based R&D for energy and control
We are seeking an Energy/Environmental Technology Researcher to join our team to develop and deploy next-generation modeling, simulation, and optimization tools for energy and control systems using Modelica and FMI. Key responsibilities include contributing to the Modelica Buildings Library and the OpenBuildingControl project, with applications focused on district energy, data centers, and heat pump/chiller plants using Platform-Based Design and Model-Based Design.
The role involves research applying these technologies to HVAC and control simulation, supporting rule-based, predictive, and AI-driven control systems, and requires demonstrated expertise in system modeling, software development (preferably Modelica, C/C++, and Python), HVAC systems, and controls. Candidates should typically possess a PhD, or a Master’s degree with significant related experience.
