To provide a platform for students and early-career professionals to showcase their work and strengthen their presentation, speaking, and client-facing skills, the IBPSA-USA Emerging Professionals and Students Initiative (EPSI) is pleased to announce the return of the 2026–2027 Simulation Showcase.
We invite current students and young professionals to submit their work. Submissions should focus on simulation or analysis-based projects relevant to the building performance industry.
Selected contributors will be invited to present their work in a live webinar series, delivering a 10-minute Showcase presentation followed by Q&A with the audience. Showcase presenters will be recognized at SimBuild 2027 and considered for awards.
Why Participate?

Who Can Apply?
The showcase is open to:
- Students currently enrolled in academic programs.
- Recent graduates with up to 5 years of professional experience.
What Are We Looking For?
We invite submissions that demonstrate:
- Innovation: Creative use of simulation to address real-world challenges.
- Impact: How simulation influenced design decisions or improved outcomes.
- Clarity: Effective communication of insights and lessons learned.
How to Apply?
Submissions should include:
- A brief abstract describing the problem, methodology, and results.
- A graphic or visual demonstrating key findings or analysis.
- About you: A headshot, bio, and project context
- (If selected) A 10-minute presentation to share your work with the community.
Get Involved as a Mentor or Judge
We also invite experienced professionals to join the program as mentors and judges. This is an opportunity to give back to the building performance community, connect with emerging talent, expand your professional network, and help shape the next generation of industry leaders.
